Cooper City, Florida, September 18, 2018. Salvant Technologies, Inc. (SNATEK) is pleased to announce the appointment of Rubensky (Ruben) Calixte as the newest managing partner at the firm. Ruben joins the Salvant Technologies, Inc. team as its vice president of operations and information security. His professional expertise and experience will contribute to the firm’s success and overall growth.
Ruben has over ten years of information technology (IT) and consulting experience in industries ranging from healthcare, energy and transportation to hospitality. He joins SNATEK from Jackson Health System (JHS), where he was responsible for leading IT internal audit and assurance. Before JHS, Ruben led IT audit and consulting engagements for Focal Point Data Risk (formerly Sunera), Deutsche Post DHL and Royal Caribbean International.
Ruben brings professional experience in several regulatory areas and frameworks, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework, the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and the Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies (COBIT) standards.
Early in his career, Ruben designed mobile phones and radios within the electrical engineering team at Motorola, Inc. He has also worked within the Information Management division of Florida Power & Light, where he supported IT network operations and compliance efforts, including the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) regulations.

Ruben earned an MBA from Babson College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
